Throughout the history, a women’s place in most societies was determined by oppressive social norms, economic barriers, and restrictive legislations. Women were denied the opportunity to developed their full potential. Arrival of Europeans to the land now we call Canada; Native, French, British, and Black women have lived similar lives.
