The suspension bridge:
This is the Kilpatrick Footbridge in Upham (near Titusville)and the one you see in this video was built by the province in 1978. However, the original footbridge was built long before that. There is a single dwelling on the other side of the river and at one time there was no access road to the property. The owners had to drive material and equipment over the river in order to build the house! Even now there is only a 'seasonal' road, which means you cannot reach the property by vehicle in the winter. So, the province built a footbridge to the preperty in order for the owners to have regular access to their property all year long.
