Traffic Advisory: Loch Lomond Road

Motorists are advised of the following traffic interruptions:
Effective April 17, 2017
Streets: Loch Lomond Road from Westmorland Road to McDonald Street
Date: Starting Monday, April 17, 2017 until June 16, 2017
Time: 24 hours/day
Duration: 60 days
Direction: Motorists travelling eastbound on Loch Lomond Road will be detoured along Westmorland Road, onto Kilburn Avenue, then onto Ellerdale Street and onto either Saint Anne, Rockcliffe or Ridge Streets to return onto Loch Lomond Road eastbound.
Motorists travelling westbound on Loch Lomond Road will be detoured along McDonald Street, onto Mount Pleasant Avenue East, then onto Bayside Drive toward the intersection of Loch Lomond Road and Thorne Avenue.
Please note that public transit routes and regular school bus routes will change as a result of scheduled work on Loch Lomond Road.
Specific Area: Loch Lomond Road from the intersection at Loch Lomond Road and Westmorland Road through to the intersection at Loch Lomond Road and McDonald Street.
Access: Businesses within the construction zone will remain accessible to the public while the work is underway.
The road will also remain accessible to emergency service vehicles and local area residents.
Description of Work: Port City Water Partners will be completing construction work over the next 60 days, installing infrastructure and completing road work as part of the construction phase of the City of Saint John’s Safe Clean Drinking Water Project.
Motorists are advised to plan their travel accordingly, reduce speeds in construction zones, observe signage, and drive safely. Work commencement and completion times are subject to change. Weather permitting.
