Cheers to Volunteers
In April 2016, the City of Saint John will host Cheers to Volunteers, an evening of celebration to show appreciation for all that volunteers contribute to our community. The event will take place at the Mary Oland Theatre in the New Brunswick Museum during National Volunteer Week in April. A theatre-style show will honour all eligible nominated volunteers, with tribute presentations and live performances. A dessert reception will follow in the museum lobby. With no awards this year, all nominees are recognized equally with an entertaining and celebratory evening.
Cheers to Volunteers celebrates volunteers in two main service areas: sport & recreation and community development. Supported by staff in our Growth and Community Development services, these volunteers show an outstanding commitment to citizen wellness, quality of life, and community engagement to make Saint John a Community of Choice.
