SAINT JOHN HISTORY: Ships Berthed At North Market Wharf

NORTH MARKET WHARF

The North Market Wharf was designed to keep the historical look of the wharf area alive, by using some of the existing structures (dating back to the 1800's) for the exterior face they were able to preserve the look of the era of when these buildings were first erected. On entering the interior of this facility you are greeted with a more modern look. Housed inside is a huge variety of specialty stores, restaurants, the Saint John Library, the New Brunswick Museum and a beautiful fountain as a center piece. Continuing on down to the back of the building is the Saint John Trade And Convention Center with some original art work displayed at it's entrance. Across from the main entrance to the Trade And Convention Center is the Saint John Hilton Hotel enjoying a full view of the harbour.
