'Free store' in Saint John fully stocked thanks to community support

People lined up around the block Saturday outside Stone Church in Saint John prior to a "free store" event.

For the second time, the Saint John Community Coalition invited people to browse through tables of donated goods ranging from clothes and toys to furniture and kitchen appliances.

Turnout for the first free store in December exceeded expectations. It happened again Saturday.

Organizers hope to host their next free store at a bigger venue in the summer. (Victoria Walton/CBC)
