February 3, 2017
RIPTIDE:
The Riptide take aim at winning their tenth game of the season when the host the Highlanders at Harbour Station for the second time of the 2016-17 campaign. Saint John are the only remaining team in the league to have an undefeated record at home and are interested in keeping that win streak going. Saint John hasn't seen action since they ended Halifax's nine game win streak just over a week ago in a thrilling overtime contest at the Scotiabank Centre and they look to keep the momentum going. As expected former league MVP's, Anthony Anderson and Gabe Freeman have been solid all season long scoring 23.4 and 22.2 points per game respectively but they've gotten help from various other parts of their roster. Haakim Johnson has most recently stepped up in a big way and was recently named Atlantic Division Player of the Week for his efforts.
Projected Starting Lineup
Anthony Anderson (G), Jabs Newby (G), Olu Famutimi (G/F), Gabe Freeman (F), Anthony Stover (C)
HIGHLANDERS:
After a slew of injuries, some roster shuffling and a change in head coach, the Highlanders are playing some of their best basketball of the season. They head into Harbour Station riding a two game win streak and take aim at pushing it to three in a row and remaining undefeated under head coach Ben Resner. The Highlanders are coming off a win against the Storm and became the first team to hand them a loss at home and they shift their focus to Saint John with the intention of doing the exact same thing.
Projected Starting Lineup
Booker Woodfox (G), Deronn Scott (G), Shaquille Keith (G/F), Anthony Witter (F), Chadrack Lufile (C)
