This video was first released in 2010 to provide applicants with a realistic view of the intense training cadets can expect at Depot.
RCMP cadets practice drill movements as a troop, to learn teamwork, communication, attention to detail, composure, accountability and pride. The military march is a by-product of drill training, not its objective.
Depot is recognized as a world leader, providing training to various national and international law enforcement and regulatory agencies and serving as a model for other police services.
There are approximately 150 different career specializations within the RCMP. Training at Depot provides a foundation for a career in the force.
