An app using a Google Map overlay of Saint John is changing the way people tour the city.

Discover Saint John launched the app in April and is hoping the smart tech can mesh the present and past of Saint John.

The downloadable app combines the self-guided historic tours with information and pictures.

The free app is available through the Google Play store and the Apple App store.
